The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has reaffirmed its commitment to deepening bilateral ties with Nigeria, highlighting a relationship that has spanned more than six decades.

The pledge was made by the Consul General of Saudi Arabia in Kano, Khalil Ahmed Al-Admawi, during the commemoration of the 95th Saudi National Day.

Al-Admawi noted that both nations have enjoyed long-standing friendship and cooperation, adding that future collaboration would focus on fulfilling the aspirations of their peoples.

• “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Federal Republic of Nigeria share over 60 years of friendship and cooperation. We look forward to further fruitful collaboration across various fields,” he said.

He also extended congratulations to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, describing Saudi Arabia as a nation that has transformed “dreams into goals and visions into reality.”

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabiru Yusuf, praised the Kingdom for its consistent support to Nigeria, including humanitarian and medical assistance. He particularly commended the recent successful separation of Nigerian conjoined twins under the Saudi Conjoined Twins Program in Riyadh.

The event brought together high-profile guests, including governors, consuls general, honorary consuls, and other dignitaries, who celebrated Saudi Arabia’s journey of unity, generosity, and global influence.
