Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface marked his Werder Bremen debut in style with an assist during their commanding 4-0 Bundesliga victory over Borussia Monchengladbach on Sunday.

The Nigerian forward, who recently joined Bremen from Bayer Leverkusen, came off the bench in the 75th minute for Romano Schmid and wasted no time making an impact. Within six minutes, Boniface set up Justin Njinmah, who fired home Bremen’s fourth goal in the 81st minute, sealing a dominant win for the hosts.

Earlier in the clash, Samuel Mbangula had inspired Bremen’s early dominance, opening the scoring with a thunderous strike in the 10th minute before assisting Jens Stage for the second goal midway through the first half.
