First Bank of Nigeria (FBN), one of the country’s leading financial institutions, has confirmed a temporary service disruption affecting its digital banking platforms.
In a notice released via its official X (formerly Twitter) account on Thursday, the bank stated that the downtime is impacting transactions carried out through FirstMobile, FirstOnline, and the USSD banking service.
According to the statement, customers may encounter delays or declined transactions when trying to transfer funds or carry out other online operations.
- “Please be informed that we are currently experiencing some downtime affecting transactions to other banks on FirstMobile, FirstOnline, and the USSD Platform. Customers may therefore experience delayed or declined transactions.

FBN assured customers that efforts are ongoing to resolve the issue and restore smooth banking operations across all affected platforms.
