Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has called on security agencies to remain impartial in the state’s political affairs and ensure professionalism in carrying out their duties.
Speaking on Thursday during the decoration of his Aide-De-Camp (ADC), DSP Ahmed Abdulraman, at the Government House in Osogbo, Adeleke warned that Osun, being the home state of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, must not be turned into a political battleground.
Adeleke Commends Police Professionalism
The governor praised the Nigeria Police Force for consistently upholding professionalism and discipline. He also commended the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and the Osun Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan, for their adherence to due process.
- “We should continue to maintain a level playing field. This is the home state of Mr President. Mr President belongs to all of us. Osun should not be turned into a battleground,” Adeleke stated.
ADC’s Promotion Celebrated
Adeleke congratulated his ADC, DSP Abdulraman, describing him as an exemplary officer whose loyalty and discipline embody the core values of the Nigeria Police Force.

- “I am happy today about the promotion of my ADC. He is a good representative of the police,” the governor said.
CP’s Charge on Discipline
In his remarks, Commissioner Gotan congratulated Abdulraman, stressing that promotions come with greater responsibilities. He urged the officer to remain committed to discipline, professionalism, and the highest ideals of policing.
The event also highlighted Adeleke’s appreciation of the synergy among security agencies in Osun, with a renewed call for neutrality in the state’s political activities.
