The Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) has declared that the Labour Party’s 2027 presidential hopeful, Peter Obi, possesses the right vision and concrete plans to transform Nigeria if elected.

Speaking on Sunrise Daily, a Channels Television programme, CUPP National Secretary, Peter Umeh, emphasized that Obi’s leadership style goes beyond the pursuit of political office. According to him, Obi represents a new approach to governance, centered on strategic planning and effective execution.

• “What I want to tell Nigerians is that Peter Obi will get it right. He will get it right for the good of our people,” Umeh stated.

“It’s not about merely trying to occupy office; it’s about getting into office with a solid plan and ensuring those plans are implemented.”

Umeh further dismissed claims that four years is too short a time to achieve meaningful development, stressing that with the right leadership, Nigeria can experience rapid progress.

The CUPP’s endorsement adds to the growing momentum around Peter Obi’s 2027 presidential ambition, as debates on Nigeria’s political future intensify.
