Bayern Munich have made a surprise move for Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman, with the Bundesliga giants reportedly interested in securing his services from Italian club Atalanta this summer, according to The Athletic.

The German champions are said to prefer a loan deal with a substantial fee and an option to buy, as they look to strengthen their attacking options before the close of the transfer window.

Lookman Keen on Exit

Lookman, 27, has openly expressed his desire to leave Atalanta, accusing the Serie A side of failing to keep promises made to him. The Nigerian international has already rejected multiple attempts by Inter Milan to secure his signature, as Atalanta have been reluctant to sell to their Serie A rivals.

Bayern Offer Under Consideration

With Atalanta unwilling to negotiate with domestic competitors, it remains unclear if they would be more receptive to Bayern Munich’s latest approach.
