President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Colonel Mohammed Mana (retd.), a former Military Administrator of Plateau State and one-time Senator representing Adamawa North.

Naija Blog Daily reports that Mana, a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, passed away in the early hours of Saturday in Abuja. He served in the Senate between 2007 and 2011 and was, until his death, the Chairman of the APC Reconciliation Committee in Adamawa State.

In a condolence statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described the late Mana as “a distinguished patriot and officer gentleman who gave much to his fatherland in and out of uniform.”

The President further praised Mana’s dedication to national service, noting that his wisdom, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the common good would be sorely missed.

“President Tinubu commiserates with the people and government of Adamawa State and members of the APC family in Adamawa, who benefited from Senator Mana’s wisdom. Senator Mana was chairman of the party’s Reconciliation Committee until his death,” the statement read.

Colonel Mana’s passing marks the loss of a seasoned statesman whose contributions spanned both military and democratic governance.
