Iran vows stronger response if attacked again by US, Israel.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, has warned that the Islamic Republic will respond “more decisively” if the United States or Israel launches another attack on Iranian territory.

The warning, issued on Monday via a post on X (formerly Twitter), comes amid rising tensions after recent airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities allegedly carried out by the U.S. and Israel.

“If aggression is repeated, we will not hesitate to react in a more decisive manner and in a way that will be IMPOSSIBLE to cover up,” Araghchi stated.

The minister’s remarks appeared to be a direct response to U.S. President Donald Trump, who had earlier in the day threatened to “wipe out” Iran’s nuclear capabilities should Tehran resume atomic activities.

Araghchi added, “If there are concerns about the possible diversion of our nuclear program into non-peaceful purposes, the ‘military option’ proved incapable — but a negotiated solution may work.”

It remains unclear how much damage was inflicted during last month’s U.S. strikes on Tehran’s nuclear infrastructure. The strikes followed a surprise bombing campaign by Israel, which claimed it was aimed at halting Iran’s progress toward acquiring nuclear weapons.

That campaign derailed ongoing U.S.-Iran nuclear negotiations, which had resumed in April after months of stalled diplomacy.

Over a 12-day conflict that followed, Iran launched retaliatory missile strikes on Israeli cities and a U.S. military base in Qatar. President Trump had previously downplayed these attacks, calling them “ineffective.”

While on a visit to Scotland on Monday, Trump maintained that the U.S. had “wiped out their nuclear possibilities.”

According to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Iran remains the only non-nuclear-armed nation currently enriching uranium to 60% purity — just short of the 90% threshold needed to produce a nuclear weapon.

“They can start again. If they do, we’ll wipe it out faster than you can wave your finger at it,” Trump said.

Before hostilities escalated, the U.S. and Iran had remained at odds over uranium enrichment. Tehran insisted it had a “non-negotiable” right to enrich uranium, while Washington viewed it as a “red line.”

While Iran has repeatedly denied seeking a nuclear bomb, it has signaled a willingness to discuss the level of enrichment, but not the right to enrich itself.

“No one in their right mind would abandon the fruits of tremendous investment in homegrown and peaceful technology just because of foreign bullying,” Araghchi concluded.
