Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, has confirmed the death of Mr. Olabode Abimbola Ibikunle, a lecturer in the Department of Social Science Education. He reportedly died last Thursday while in the company of Miss Glory Ojochegbe Samuel (Matric No. 24GE2034), a student from the same department.
The Registrar of the institution, Yahaya Alilu, described the incident as tragic and disturbing, adding that the university is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his death. He appealed to the public and the media to refrain from spreading unverified information.

“Prince Abubakar Audu University expresses deep sorrow over the unfortunate passing of Mr. Olabode Abimbola Ibikunle. His sudden demise, in company of Miss Glory Ojochegbe Samuel, has understandably generated public concern,” the statement read.
The university also addressed rumours linking Miss Bello Yahaya Lubabat of the Department of Educational Administration and Planning to the incident, stressing that she and other students have no connection to the case.
“We urge the public to avoid speculation and wait for the outcome of the ongoing investigation by the appropriate authorities,” Alilu said.
