Vice Chancellors of Nigerian universities have unanimously adopted 150 as the minimum cut-off mark for admission into universities for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The decision was reached through a voice vote conducted under the supervision of the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, during the ongoing JAMB Policy Meeting on Admissions held on Tuesday in Abuja.

In related decisions, the new minimum admission cut-off marks for other tertiary institutions are as follows:

  • Polytechnics: 100
  • Colleges of Education and Agriculture: 100
  • Colleges of Nursing: 140

These benchmarks will guide admission processes across all Nigerian higher institutions for the upcoming academic session.
