Popular Afrobeats singer, Reekado Banks, has revealed that he is no longer certain about settling down anytime soon, despite previously expressing plans to get married later this year.
In a recent interview on The Esther Show, Reekado admitted he has had a change of heart, attributing it to his personal and emotional growth, not his music career.

“In my last interview, which was two months ago, I was pretty sure about my stance. I said I would get married later in the year, but now I’m in a very different place,” he said.
- “It has nothing to do with my music career. It’s about me and my emotional intelligence, which I’m still working on.”
The former Mavin Records signee, who has been an independent artist since 2018, emphasized that emotional clarity and self-awareness are guiding his current decisions.
Reekado Banks Warns Young Artists About “Demonic” Industry Executive
In the same interview, Reekado Banks sent a strong warning to upcoming Nigerian artists, advising them to stay away from a certain influential music executive he labeled as “demonic.”
Without naming the individual, Reekado shared that he and several other young talents have suffered setbacks after working with the said executive.

“There is one big man in the music industry who is demonic and takes advantage of young talents. I have worked with him before… Every artist this man has worked with always has a certain setback,” Reekado stated.
He stressed that his goal is to educate and protect emerging artists from falling into toxic professional relationships that could derail their careers.
Though Reekado Banks chose not to reveal the executive’s identity at this time, he hinted that the individual is well-known and aware of his own reputation.
