Says Tehran Gave ‘Early Notice,’ No Casualties Reported in Qatar Strike
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has downplayed Iran’s recent missile attack on the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, describing the move as a “very weak response” to the United States’ earlier strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
Trump made the remarks on Monday via his Truth Social account, hours after Iran launched multiple ballistic missiles at the largest U.S. military base in the Middle East.
“Iran has officially responded to our Obliteration of their Nuclear Facilities with a very weak response, which we expected, and have very effectively countered,” Trump stated.
✅ Trump Thanks Iran for Advance Warning
The former president also thanked Iran for what he claimed was an early notice before the strikes, suggesting that the lack of casualties or injuries was due to advanced intelligence.

“I want to thank Iran for giving us early notice, which made it possible for no lives to be lost, and nobody to be injured,” he added.
🎯 Background: US-Iran Escalation
Trump’s remarks follow the U.S. military’s coordinated airstrikes alongside Israel on three Iranian nuclear facilities, including the Fordo underground enrichment site. Iran retaliated by firing missiles at U.S. military assets in Qatar, though the Qatari military confirmed most of the missiles were intercepted.
While the missile attack raised global tension, Trump’s tone indicates confidence in the U.S. military response and suggests de-escalation may still be possible.
