Benue Killings: President Tinubu Orders Arrest of Yelewata Attackers, Calls for Regional Peace Strategy.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed security chiefs to swiftly arrest those responsible for the massacre in Yelewata, Guma Local Government Area of Benue State, where over 100 lives were lost in a brutal attack by suspected armed herders.

Tinubu issued the directive during a town hall meeting in Makurdi on Wednesday. He was there to meet with political leaders, traditional rulers, and stakeholders as part of his official condolence visit to the violence-stricken state.

“Christopher… We need to get our ears to the ground. Let’s get those criminals. Let’s get them out,” Tinubu told the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, urging swift intelligence and military action.
