Afrobeats superstar Davido has officially cancelled his July 3rd performance at the iconic Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, citing unresolved production and execution issues with the event organisers.

In a heartfelt statement posted on his verified Instagram account, the Grammy-nominated artist explained that despite strong ticket sales and overwhelming fan support, the decision was made out of respect for his fans, culture, and the quality of his brand.

Davido revealed that the show, promoted by The Necto Future Group (@iconicpresents), faced “major misalignments” in planning, specifically with “key elements required to uphold the integrity and quality” of his performance.

“Despite strong fan support and impressive ticket sales, there have been major misalignments regarding the event’s execution,” he said.

• “As a result, I regret to inform you that I will no longer be performing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on July 3rd.”

The Show Goes On — Without Davido

Although Davido will no longer headline the event, the show will reportedly still take place without his appearance.

He stressed that the cancellation had nothing to do with poor turnout, but rather his unwavering commitment to artistic excellence and the Afrobeats culture he represents.

Summer Tour Continues

Davido reassured fans that the rest of his summer tour remains intact. He will still perform in Germany, Portugal, Belgium, Canada, and the United States, as part of his ongoing “Timeless” global tour.
