A pro-Tinubu coalition of young professionals from the South East, under the South East Progressive Ambassadors (SEPA), has declared full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.

In a press statement signed by SEPA Convener, Mr. John CDO Ikeotuonye, and Secretary, Dr. Justin Ogoo Nwankwo, the group emphasized the strategic importance of aligning with President Tinubu as the 2027 general elections approach.

“The South East must not be left behind again. Our future depends on forming meaningful alliances, and President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda offers that opportunity,” SEPA stated.

Why SEPA Supports Tinubu in 2027

SEPA noted that Igbos are beginning to appreciate the benefits of political alliance over resistance, especially with recent federal initiatives targeting the region, such as:

• Establishment of the South East Development Commission (SEDC)
• Appointment of Special Advisers for community liaison in the region
• High-profile political appointments for South Easterners
• Presidential visits to all South East states

The group commended Tinubu for showing “immense courage” in addressing issues like LG fund mismanagement, state transparency, and grassroots development.
