Grammy-nominated Nigerian singer Davido has appointed celebrated producer and songwriter Cobhams Asuquo as the musical director for his upcoming “5ive Alive” world tour.

In a video shared via Instagram, Davido expressed excitement about the collaboration, praising Cobhams for his musical brilliance and creativity.

“He is the ‘5ive Alive’ musical director of the world tour. Almost 20 arenas – it’s going to be crazy,” Davido said.

Cobham also shared his enthusiasm about the project, revealing that he was impressed by the tour’s musical direction so far.

“Today is the first time I heard what he’s been working on, and I’m blown away. It’s time to get to work and start rehearsing,” he stated.

The “5ive Alive” tour will see Davido perform across nearly 20 arenas worldwide, showcasing music from his fifth studio album, “5ive,” which was released on April 18.

The album features 17 tracks and a diverse lineup of collaborators, including Jamaican stars 450 and Shensea, South African hitmaker Musa Keys, and American artists Chris Brown and Becky G.

Nigerian artists Victony, Odumodublvck, Chike, and Omah Lay also contributed to the album, which includes standout tracks like “5ive,” “Anything,” “Be There Still,” and “Holy Water.”
