Pastor Tunde Bakare, the serving overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, has expressed his strong desire for a united and prosperous Nigeria through deeper collaboration between the North and South.
Speaking to journalists after a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu at his Lagos residence on Wednesday, Bakare emphasized that their discussion centered on national development and the future of Nigeria.

- “It’s not just about reservations; it’s about how the country will move forward,” he said.
He added that his personal vision is to see Nigeria work effectively within his lifetime. Though he did not reveal the full details of the meeting, Bakare noted that he had shared his thoughts with the President and left it in his hands to act accordingly.
“I’ve had a private conversation with Mr President, and I’m glad he received me well. I trust that God will help our nation,” he said.

Bakare stressed the importance of unity, peace, and action, calling for concrete steps to lift Nigerians out of poverty.
“We’ve danced around certain issues for too long; now is the time for action,” he declared.
