Governors from the South-West region have gathered in Ibadan, Oyo State, for a high-level meeting aimed at tackling the region’s ongoing security challenges.
In attendance are Governors Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo), and Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti). Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke is represented by his deputy, Kola Adeusi.
The meeting was convened to review the security situation across the South-West, amid rising concerns over crime and public safety in the zone.

Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju, Special Adviser on Media to Governor Seyi Makinde, confirmed the gathering to NaijaBlogDaily, stating:
- “The meeting has started. All the governors are present except Governor Adeleke, who was represented by his deputy.”
The governors are expected to deliberate on strategies to strengthen regional security, coordinate law enforcement efforts, and propose measures to protect residents across the South-West states.
