President Bola Tinubu has expressed gratitude to Nigeria’s security forces following the release of 50 Catholic school students in Niger State and 38 worshippers abducted in Kwara State.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the President reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring the safety of all Nigerians, noting that he had cancelled his trip to the G20 summit in South Africa to personally coordinate security efforts at home.
He said:
- “Thanks to the efforts of our security forces over the last few days, all the 38 worshippers abducted in Eruku, Kwara State have been rescued. I am equally happy that 51 out of the missing students of the Catholic School in Niger State have been recovered.”
