Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has arrived in her constituency to a heroic welcome, defying attempts by the Kogi State Government and the Nigeria Police to halt her homecoming.
Naija Blog Daily reports that the state government banned rallies and public gatherings across Kogi, citing security concerns. Additionally, fishing activities were prohibited following reported fatalities in Kasemiya, Katubo, and Umozu Ette in Kogi West LGA.

The Kogi State Police Command, through its Public Relations Officer, SP William Ovye Aya, issued a security alert warning against the planned rally, claiming intelligence reports indicated potential threats.

Despite these restrictions, Senator Natasha, who was recently suspended for six months over alleged misconduct, was greeted by a massive crowd of supporters upon her arrival.
Her homecoming comes amid a heated political face-off between Natasha and Senate President Godswill Akpabio, following her shocking allegations of sexual harassment against him.
