The All Democratic Alliance (ADA) has warned that Nigerians must not allow the 2027 general elections to become another wasted opportunity, stressing that both the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have failed the nation.
Speaking in Abuja on Sunday, Dr. Umar Ardo, Protem National Secretary of ADA, said the country could no longer afford recycled politicians who, according to him, had “forfeited every moral right to lead Nigeria.”

- “The hour of decision is now. Nigeria cannot afford another wasted election cycle. 2027 must not be business as usual. The recycled politicians of APC, PDP and sundry have failed woefully. Their continued grip on power is a death sentence for Nigeria’s survival as a nation. But a new dawn is possible – if patriotic elites and Nigerian youths unite under one banner, the ADA banner,” Ardo declared.
The party, which recently received provisional approval from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), described itself as a platform for political rebirth, justice, and accountability.
Ardo lamented that since Nigeria’s return to democracy in 1999, the nation had steadily drifted into economic collapse, political instability, social unrest, and deepening disunity, despite its abundant resources. He blamed a “visionless, corrupt, and insensitive political class” for enriching themselves while ordinary Nigerians suffered.

He further warned that as 2027 approaches, the same politicians responsible for Nigeria’s decline are once again jostling for power under the old platforms. According to him, ADA represents not just another party, but a moral rebirth and political renaissance for the country.
- “ADA is not just another party but the moral rebirth of our nation. Nigerians must rally under this new platform to salvage democracy and rebuild Nigeria,” he said.
