In a statement released on Monday, the US Embassy in Abuja said all embassy personnel and their families are currently prohibited from visiting military sites or other government buildings in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory unless it is for official business.

🏢 US Consular Services Remain Operational
Despite the restrictions, both the US Embassy in Abuja and the Consulate General in Lagos remain fully open and operational. Citizens needing assistance or more information have been advised to visit the official US Embassy in Nigeria website.
