The President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Atiku Abubakar Isah, has filed a fundamental human rights lawsuit at the Federal High Court in Abuja. He is seeking a total of N38.3 billion in damages over allegations of unlawful detention, abduction, and torture.

In the suit, Seyi Tinubu—son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu—the Department of State Services (DSS), and senior officials of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) are listed as respondents.
